  • Leg compression therapy helps improve the blood flow in your lower legs and is a standard treatment for poor lower extremity circulation. It commonly uses elastic stockings, socks, or wraps. The stockings, socks, or wraps provide pressure on your legs, ankles, and feet that help prevent pooling blood and fluid build-up in these areas.

USA Vein clinics are here to help. We offer many treatments for vein disease, swelling, and pain. Our treatments are minimally invasive and take place right in our offices.

  • WEEK FOUR - Invitation
Welcome to the Our Weekly Invitation Thread
    #BecomeAVictoryLadyAutumn2021 for 17-23 October 2021.
THIS WEEK'S FOCUS: START LAUNDRY & SEE IT THROUGH
    Did you create your menu???
Did you rise early and feed your soul?
Did you shower, groom, and make your bed?
My why for cleaning laundry: I like the smell, feel, and look of clean neat clothes. I feel more comfortable when my clothes are clean and do not smell. I like the feel when they are smooth, rather than rumpled.
When I start laundry, it can wash while I am doing something else. If I set a timer, I can switch the load and start another. When the timer goes off, stopping to fold and put away only takes minutes. When I take the clothes and put them where they belong, properly folded and in the drawer, or hung up in the closet, the clothes are less likely to end on the floor and back in the hamper. When I tend to do laundry promptly, it does not pile up, it does not cause clothes to look all wrinkled, and there are fewer things to iron. In short, it reduces my workload. If you have children call a folding party. Even little hands can be taught how to smoothly fold laundry or properly hang it up. Then walk them to their rooms and see to it the clean folded and hung laundry, get put away properly. Help them gain the habit of putting clean clothes away, by walking with them and overseeing their follow-through.
When I know I am going to be on the run, I put a load of laundry, such as towels or socks and underwear in a load before bed. I can switch the load and start a load before breakfast.
I also do my best to not schedule out of the house demands in the mornings. I push appointments, shopping, errands to after lunch, mid-afternoon if possible. Sometimes it cannot be helped. but I try to be in control of my schedule.
So, with laundry, it really is best to keep it in motion until it rests in the proper place of closets and drawers.

This thread is for this week only, as I will be posting a thread each week. You may focus on one habit routine at a time, or you can work to build a routine of all the habits at the same time. Do whatever works best for you! Just know, if you do one habit at a time it will take longer than 60 days, which is fine if it works for you.
    WEEKLY INVITATION
    1. Menu, plan A, and plan B.
    DAILY INVITATION
    2. Rise early and feed your soul! Pray and study His word.
    3. Shower, groom, and make the bed.
    4. Gather, start laundry and follow it through.
    5. Get a great breakfast, dinner prep, and do dishes.
    6. Homeschool.
    7. Exercise your body.
    8. Thirty Minute Power Clean. Whatever bugs you the most.
    RULES
    1. This is a foundation to build upon.
    2. Keep a Victory list. Then return & report each day to the group. Journal your journey!
    3. Do not talk to others about your challenge. Just go quietly about doing it. When we talk about it, we tend to not do it. However, it can be helpful to have "sisters in the journey" you can report here each day in the day's thread.
    4. If you mess up, just get up, brush yourself off, and get moving forward.
    5. No social media during the essentials. Don't slow yourself down with net surfing and net socializing.
    6. Enjoy the journey!

  • Black are my steps on silver sod;
    Thick blows my frosty breath abroad;
And tree and house, and hill and lake,
    Are frosted like a wedding-cake.
    -Robert Louis Stevenson

What's the snow situation like where you live? Does the snow still feel magical or are you so over it at this point?

We don't get snow very often, maybe once a year. And we veeery rarely get enough snow for sledding. So when the stars align to bring us a day of sledding and snowball fights in our own front yard, on a day that Daddy doesn't have to go to work? We cobble together as much winter gear as we can and spend every minute outside until the snow is too drippy and our toes are too frozen. We'd take shifts with the littlest ones inside and run handfuls of sopping mittens and socks through the drier. I'm still catching up on the laundry, I think every single pair of pants my kids own ended up soaked and muddy

  • I am having much difficulty watching the television. I do not understand what twilight zone episode we have entered....but I want to change the channel.

I was in DC on the 6th. I was not up front involved in the the incited aggression of bad actors and a few misguided patriots. I was in the midst of tens of thousands (what I could see and capture only, not limiting the size of the crowd to that number) of peaceful, God fearing (or Allah, or Buddha or whomever you choose to worship because this is, after all, America), country and family loving citizens. I did not see one argument. I did not see one brawl. I did not see the burning of flags, or buildings, or police cars. I did not see windows being broken or boards being ripped off storefronts. I did not see reporters being beaten up or horses punched in the face. I did not see hatred. I did not see terrorism.
I saw something different. I saw a mass of people gathered in a peaceful attempt to preserve our way of life for our kids and our kids kids. I saw people having discussions and sharing hopes and fears. I saw these same people carrying American flags and almost every one of them was wearing a Trump hat or shirt or pants or socks or scarf in support of the greatest president this country has ever seen.

As we moved closer to the Capital towards the end of the afternoon I saw other things as well. I saw these same citizens being teargassed. I saw my elderly mother being teargassed. I was teargassed. Now I know what masks are for. I saw two blonde women with megaphones inciting violence and aggression and begging for people to step up and enter the Capital through a broken window. I saw one of these blonde women (they were white women...is that racist?? Oh well) hold a Trump flag over a man who went under the flag in black pants and sweatshirt and came out from under it (where I originally thought he was using some sort of personal porta potty) in the fake fatigues and flak jacket that many were walking around in with a Trump button on it. This man then exited the crowd and left before the tear gas canister landed at mother's and my feet. I saw a curfew put into effect in the middle of a huge protest and transportation shut down so people couldn't get back to their hotels on time. It took mother and I an hour and a half to walk the 20 or so blocks from the Capital to our hotel because we could not get Uber because the internet surrounding the Capital had been shut down. And when we got back to the hotel we were unable to have any dinner because the restaurants had been closed. So after spending the day in protest where food and beverage carts and sales were not allowed we walked all that way back just to be kept from eating.a meal. Shame on you DC.

We are Patriots. We will not let 45 down. We will be peaceful but we will be strong. We will not falter.

    God bless America
    God bless President Trump
God bless each and every one of you.
