I've been on a healing journey for about 12 years. During this time, with God's amazing help and guidance, I've been able to assist my body in healing from chronic digestive and elimination issues (I had over 23 years) as well as Hypothyroid disease (I had misdiagnosed for over 7 years, and then worked through healing for another 9 years) along with adrenal fatigue.
Through this journey, I've learned many things:
#1. Trust my body.
#2. My body knows what it needs to heal.
#3. My body will give me good information and clues to help me know what needs to addressed.
#4. The heart, mind, body, spirit alignment with God is crucial to full, complete wellness.
#5. Trust God.
#6. God wants a powerful people!
#7. God has a work for me to do.
#8. God knows what my work is and WILL tell me all things in the proper time.
#9. God knows I need to be healthy and strong to complete my mission and life purpose.
#10. God will guide me to ALL things necessary to assist in healing my body.
#11. Jesus Christ is the ultimate healer.
#12. Jesus will be in this healing process with me when I let go and trust Him in all ways and all things.
#13. There has been a purpose for my pain and dis-ease.
#14. As I learn these divine purposes, I am empowered to help others in their healing journey.
#15. Healing takes a bit of time.
#16 There is JOY in the process! πŸŒ»πŸ˜ƒπŸ€—β€
In my discoveries, I have learned to forgive myself for the "diets" I participated in which messed up my hormones and my metabolism.
I've learned to be very honoring and patient, and to "listen" to my body, and all her systems.
I've chosen to adopt a system of intuitive eating.
I eat 90% clean, organic, whole foods to nourish and strengthen my mind, body, and spirit, which feeds my soul with happiness, and joy!
Once in a while, I will crave something.
When this occurs, I check in with my body to see which part of my being is craving. Is it my body, my mind, my heart, or my spirit?
When I discover which part of me it is, I find our why.
Then, I decide the next course of action. Sometimes, if it's my body craving, I may be lacking a vitamin or mineral, that needs to be added to my diet in the form of superfoods, or supplements.
Once in a while it's my heart that is craving. When this happens, its usually because my heart is yearning to be nurtured in some special way. Sometimes my heart may be craving adventure, or more sunlight, or a day at the beach, or a day where I can snuggle under a cozy warm blanket sipping my hot tea or cocoa and reading a favorite novel.
Sometimes my heart might be craving something that holds an emotional memory of something special.
The past two weeks this is what I noticed, my heart yearned for two things; kielbasa, and chocolate cake! πŸ˜„
I married a Polish/German man who LOVED kielbasa, and as our children grew, we had special times where we incorporated this food into our diet.
When raising my family I loved to bake. I loved the feeling of a homecooked meal and a beautiful dessert laid out for my family. I loved the smells coming from the kitchen and sitting together for a meal. I loved the dinner conversation and seeing all my babes gathered around the table.
On Sundays or very special occasions, such as birthdays, I'd make our family's favorite chocolate cake. πŸ˜‹
These foods hold special happy memories, which are dear to my heart. β€πŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œ
Today I gave my sweet heart her desires. Last night my cute little granddaughters helped me bake our favorite chocolate cake, and this afternoon I whipped up another meal with Kielbasa and LOTS of glorious veggies.
My heart is happy! πŸ€—πŸ˜πŸ˜ŠπŸ€©
Years ago, our Kielbasa nights would usually just be Kielbasa on a bun or wrapped in bread with mustard, (which is yummy) but now, as I want to feed my body 90% vegetarian, whole organic, clean foods, I chose to make this yummy dish with garden pasta, zucchini, red onion, LOTS of garlic, broccoli, and mushrooms, along with slices of kielbasa. YUM!! YUM!!
Another glorious discovery I've made on my healing journey is that we don't have to give up the foods we love, we can instead choose to listen and then "add-in" all the glorious food which we know will nourish and feed our mind, heart, body, and spirit. πŸŠπŸ‰πŸ‡πŸ₯•πŸ₯¦πŸ₯’πŸ₯•πŸž

Sometimes we need more vitamin "L" which often has only a little to do with what we put into our mouth and a whole LOT of what has to do with honoring and nurturing ourselves with LOVE!!
By honoring our soul in this way, we never feel deprived. There is no guilt, only full gratitude for all the blessings and bounty of the earth and God's glorious celebrations of life! 🀩🌷
When we give our mind, heart, body, and spirit what it needs and desires, our body becomes a partner rather than feeling like it is our enemy, and it works together with us to heal from within...emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. 😊πŸ₯°
