There are only two fundamental options in life, which can be stated in various ways...
To move up or down...
To step forward or backwards...
To create or destroy...
To encourage or discourage...
To have faith or fear...
To choose life or death...
They all come down to the same thing, and we all make micro-choices in every second of our life, to pursue one option or the other... to move upward, or to slide down. To find solutions or turn to chaos.
The evidence of bad choices is all around us.
We start to turn our ship around, when we accept the responsibility of watching which way our inner compass is pointing.
There is self-awareness that introspects to check its compass, and look for the Pole Star of true North.
And then, there is the way of madness, mayhem, and burning other people's houses down. This is the fundamental choice that is facing our nation now.
So, the question is not whose party or politics is right or wrong, but how do we reestablish our inner compass, so that we the people can hear and see with clarity.
Healing a nation cannot succeed without the fundamentals that start within the heart choosing to be whole and desiring to love the truth. To go there or not, is one of those fundamental options too.
