A chance meeting on the train resulted in this delightful big day. Abigail and Luke met in 2019. "We are accustomed to catching the same train home every single day," says Abigail. "There would be a lot of eye-to-eye contact across the station waiting room!" Luke later proposed to Abigail with a lake on her behalf 30th birthday. "It was in the same spot where we'd our first kiss almost a year earlier," she says.

WEDDING DRESSES FEELTIMES

Abigail found her dream mermaid wedding dress in FeelTimes online shop. "I was totally surprised because not just did I wound up coming away having a dress around the first visit, however it was precisely the opposite of what I thought I would choose!" she laughs. "Also, I'm not so body confident yet all of us agreed the best dress was the one which accentuated my shape probably the most. Roscoe was ideal for me."

A MANOR HOUSE VENUE

The couple married on 15th January 2022 at Briars Hall in Ormskirk. "It's a 1700s manor house also it was our favourite venue. We felt so comfortable and special there," says Abigail. "I also didn't feel unnatural or it was an excessive amount of. It was exactly right for the size of wedding we wanted and everything only agreed to be perfect."

THE BIG DAY

"I walked on the aisle to some string version of 'Can't Help Falling In Love'," says Abigail. "I also were built with a photograph charm, showing my late nana on her big day, tied on my small bouquet, that was so special in my experience."

"The weather was perfect ultimately. It was cold because it was only three weeks after Christmas, however, it was this type of lovely sunny day. It meant I was able to have photographs within the hotel grounds."

"After the ceremony, we'd a beautiful reception with all of our family and friends," says Abigail. "This was then puzzles and games on the tables after which everyone just enjoyed dancing and catching up."

BEAUTIFUL BLUES, TEA LIGHTS AND FLOWERS

"The main colour theme was blue," says Abigail. "The tables were decorated with birdcage centrepieces with tea lights and a lot of beautiful flowers."

"Our favours were an array of chocolate truffles inside a box within the shape of a birdcage, to complement our centrepieces. We also were built with a Macmillan Cancer Support pin badge which, inside a lovely coincidence, matched our theme!"

MY TOP TIPS…

"Be unbiased, but additionally trust your instincts," says Abigail. "Finally, make probably the most of planning it and then try to remember and revel in every second during the day, it will fly by!"
