"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." - Proverbs 9:10 With wisdom, nations are made strong. When a light shines, there is no darkness.

  • The parable of the mouse and the elephant.

Imagine a mouse and an elephant in the same room together. The mouse squeaks and the elephants runs for the corner, shaking in fear. The mouse says, "You are mine, and you will do as I say!"

    The elephant says, "OK!"

The silent and passive majority is the elephant in the room.

The thinking of this silent majority is, "If we say they are bad, we are good. If we complain about evil, maybe it will go away. If I obey the mouse, maybe it will leave me alone."

Such elephants will never walk in their own true strength, and their lot will be to be enslaved to evil mice.

Why do elephants give up their power?

"Above all get wisdom. And with all your strength, gain understanding." - Solomon Proverbs 4:7.

  • Ask yourself, “What?” and “Why not?” questions.

We hope for a bright future, but see a mess.

What if we could make a difference, and why not?

    We see hunger and poverty.

What if we could find a way to feed everyone, and why not?

    We see financial chaos.

What is we could build better financial systems and streams of income, and why not?

The point is that we will never rise above the limitations of our thinking.

Our education system hands us a platter of “Well that’s the way it has always been, and that is the way it is, and that is the way it will always be. Now be compliant!”

    So, let’s stop and think.

What if we looked at things in a new way and taught our children to ask, “What if we looked for a better way? And, why not?”

“Why not acknowledge that when we are trillions of dollars in debt, something is not working?”

“Why not believe in the endless potential that we all have, to do things in infinitely varied and better ways?”

We can teach our children to lift their thinking to soar like eagles, or we can keep teaching them to tread the mud of the trenches. And, how is that working for us as individuals, families, communities, and nations?

Solomon said, “Above all, get wisdom!”

With wisdom, he established wealth, riches, peace and prosperity for his nation and those around him.

He did not stop with the status quo of, “Well, that is the way it is!”

He allowed his mind and his thinking to soar high above his cultural norm, and ask the kind of questions that our systems have forgotten to teach. These are the “Why?,” “Why not?,” and “What if?” questions that can lead us to the answers and solutions we so desperately need.

Let’s work together to build a better future for all.

This starts with our own question, “Why not?”

"Above all get wisdom. And with all your strength, gain understanding." - Solomon Proverbs 4:7.

  • Think Massively!

We need to learn to think massively. The world around us is facing massive problems that desperately need massive solutions.

The problem is that we have come to the table with small thinking, little ideas, and tiny solutions.

    Let me give an example…

Close to 1 billion people do not know if they will have a meal today!

How have we been taught to respond?

“We will say a prayer for you.”
“Let’s have a carwash to raise funds to feed the poor.”
“Let’s have a collection Sunday and pass the plate for a special offering.”
    Etc.

As well intentioned as these responses are, they make almost zero difference on the scale of 1 billion people who don’t know where the next morsel will come from. This is an example of small ideas and tiny solutions.

    Now consider the following…

Jesus said, “The Kingdom is like a seed…”

    Take a seed.

    Plant it.

    Harvest its fruit.

Take the seed from the fruit.

    Plant it.

Harvest the fruit. You now have more than you can handle.

Share the seed with your neighbors and teach them to do the same.

When we begin to truly understand this Kingdom principle, we will see that there is no excuse for poverty – except when we live in the land of small ideas, and limited thinking.

If one seed can feed the world, what about the God-given seeds that are in you?

We will talk more about the power of seed in future posts.
Please share this seed and help us to grow.
